The parameters of a standard trigonometric series defining a coordinate transformation.

Users are encouraged to read the summary documentation of the classes distoptica.DistortionModel and distoptica.CoordTransformParams before reading the documentation for the current class as it provides essential context to what is discussed below.

Motivated by transmission electron microscopy experiments, we define a class of standard coordinate transformations, where each standard coordinate transformation comprises of two components: \(T_{⌑;x}^{\left(\text{std}\right)}\left(u_{x},u_{y}\right)\) and \(T_{⌑;y}^{\left(\text{std}\right)}\left(u_{x},u_{y}\right)\). \(T_{⌑;x}^{\left(\text{std}\right)}\left(u_{x},u_{y}\right)\) and \(T_{⌑;y}^{\left(\text{std}\right)}\left(u_{x},u_{y}\right)\) have the mathematical forms of Eqs. (2.2.1) and (2.2.2) respectively, only that the radial cosine coefficient matrix \(A_{r;v_{1},v_{2}}\) has the following form:
